    Just saw this article in the NY times about a new documentary. I haven't watched the documentary yet, but this seems to address many of the issues (wages, general economy, etc) that have been discussed here recently.  We have an overnight/round the clock home day care in our neighborhood, and the whole family that runs the program is very dedicated. The need for this kind of care is even more evident during the pandemic when essential workers are in desperate need of care for both early childhood and school age children.

    Yes, thank you for mentioning that NYTimes article, Kristina.
    This is Lori Falchi, and I work with early educators in New York as a coach. I'm so excited about the film, Through the Night, a documentary by the Afro-Dominican film-maker Loira Limbal. It's like a love letter to the caregivers, and follows the stories of three women, two working mothers and a childcare provider, whose lives intersect at the childcare center in New Rochelle
