    I would like to recommend an excellent resource, GAYBCs: A Queer Alphabet. This fun book provides a simple, accessible celebration of LGTBQ terminology - designed for all ages, young and old!

    I work in a small suburban community just outside of NYC. I was surprised BUT very pleased to see that the town library hosted a Drag Queen Story Hour for young children.  The purpose of the event is to have children see that all people have value and that it is just fine to dress up if it makes you happy.  The Drag Queen that came to read was great with the kids and as might be expected, dramatic and over the top....just the way little children like to hear stories read!
