  • 1.  No Small Matter - discussion questions?

Hello! CTAEYC will be hosting 3 screenings of No Small Matter this summer, and after looking through the welcome packet, I see that there is a facilitation page, but it doesn't include specific questions.  I am looking to assist our three chapters in hosting the screenings - if you hosted a screening of No Small Matter and have breakout room questions/discussion points that worked, I would love if you could share them! Any other helpful hints would be great - thank you so much for your help!

    Hi Kathryn,
If you have not seen the film yet, it is AMAZING!  I look forward to seeing replies to your post about questions/discussion points!  I work for ELC Manatee and all staff were "required" to view it.  I hope one day this film makes it into an actual theater!
    Respectfully,
    Susan

Thank you! I have seen it once, and there's so much jam packed into it that I wanted to see if break-out room questions existed before I reinvent the wheel. I am looking forward to our presentations!

    Kathryn Hage,

I have had the privilege of watching No Small Matter twice! There is so much packed within the documentary film regarding early childhood; I could watch it over and still have crucial facets to reflect upon.

Some personal take away reflection questions involved:

What is an advocate and how can I advocate?

    Also.

How is my position a vital rule effecting the learners ecological system?

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards,

Thanks so much! There really is so much to unpack in this film, and I loved watching it and reflecting on it.
