What are your favorite researched-based child development or ECE relatated podcasts?

Hi everyone, I just finished listening to Dr. Kristie Pretti-Frontczak's podcast, Pre-K Teach and Play (it was recommended to me here on this forum and I highly recommend it), and now I'm on a search for something else to listen to. I'm really interested in podcasts geared to people in ECE but I know there are podcasts out there meant for parents that still have episodes that can be very useful to professionals in ECE. So, please, share away.

That podcast is tough to beat! I just started listening to Not Just Cute with Amanda Morgan and am enjoying it. I also checked out The Magic of Littles today which seems promising with the different topics discussed. I'll be keeping an eye out for other recommendations as well.

I've been producing a podcast called Children of the Pandemic: Searching for Solutions in Education. Not all episodes are strictly focused on early childhood education, but all connect back to parenting and education in general. It is conversations with educators, mental health experts, parents, and even some students from around the world about what they are struggling with in the pandemic (specifically in regards to parenting and education) and ideas for strategies to move forward and stay grounded. I hope you enjoy it!

The Brain Architects created by The Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University is an excellent podcast to learn about brain development and early learning.

Coincidentally, just yesterday, I was reflecting on how I felt overwhelmed by all the brain development terms that I heard in the Pre-K Teach and Play podcast. It has been while since I was at university and I've been away from the ECE field for most of that time, so I don't remember many of the terms. I need a refresher course so yesterday I was searching for one and found Harvard's free online brain development course, Brain Story.

I had no idea that they had a podcast on this very topic so thank you for sharing this with me, Hilary.

    Hi,
I second the Children of the Pandemic suggestion. It's new, but I have listened several times during my morning walk and the ideas really resonated with me. The guests are real teachers implementing research-based practices. Hanna also asked me to join her for a podcast conversation about EC math, and we had a lovely time. Another favorite of mine is the Ten Minute Teacher Podcast, though it is not specifically aimed at early childhood. Happy listening!

I have been listening to Janet Lansbury - Unruffled.  She focuses on infants and toddlers, and parenting, but many of the principles she talks about can be applied to all ECE ages.  She follows Magda Gerber's principles of respect for the child.  Fantastic, and I highly recommend!
