    Hello!
Can anybody tell me more about the NAEYC Conference and Professional Learning Institute? How are they different from each other? Which one do you find to be more valuable? If you could only attend one, which would you choose?

    Thanks for your input!

    Hello Mary,

Traditionally the Professional Learning Institute has focused on professional development for leaders and those looking to become leaders in the field. Over the past few years we have seen teacher registration grow for those looking to move into leadership roles. It is a smaller show with approximately 200 sessions with attendance of around two thousand attendees.

The Annual Conference is much larger. Sessions cover a wider array of topics including more practical classroom instruction. There are approximately 500+ sessions and has been averaging almost then thousand attendees for the past couple of years.

I'm hoping your fellow colleagues can provide you with their own personal insights to help guide you in your decision making process.
