Hi everyone, I teach an online masters class in ECE for an academic college.  The course normally has an observation/internship component which cannot exist now with Coved.  I am searching high and low for excellent, developmentally appropriate You Tube or videos' to help support my students understanding of what a quality infant toddler program might look like.  Hope some of you out there can help me!

    Hi There,

Here are some wonderful resources for you
https://pikler.org/author/piklerusa/   they are having a FREE webinar tomorrow but have lots of things on their website. Emmi Pikler was a pediatrician and worked with children . I hope you will look into it The Pikler work is just around being respectful to infants and toddlers.

I am a Waldorf teacher and I use some of these principles in my work with the children in my care. I have a home day care in MA. Check out the WECAN website for more info on Waldorf early childhood ed.
    Hope this is helpful

These were the best I found.  Thought I dislike the use of the word "best" I can't help but thinking how most of the videos I am watching show educators making so many disruptions to children's flow of action and thought.  I invite all to reflect a bit on their own practices to see when and how you offer children freedom to grow, wonder, to be.

Enjoy. If you have never heard of any of these I think you will be in for a treat!  the Pikler /RIE work is the best way to work with infants and toddlers and their parents.  (My personal opinion!) It meshes nicely with Waldorf early Childhood ED. I am a Waldor EC teacher and have a home daycare in MA.
    Enjoy

    Thanks for sharing Celia!

i used RIE to create a curriculum for infants and toddlers in Dubai. It's very good. I will have a look at the other resources. Best wishes.

PITC - Program for Infant Toddler Care   https://www.pitc.org/public-resources
They have excellent training available and videos for sale.

The California Child Care Licensing: Resources for Parents and Providers website addresses three user groups: 1) child care center operators, 2) family child care providers, and 3) parents and families. There are some videos here too.

Hello, like some of the other states shared, Georgia's licensing agency (Bright from the Start) has some videos as examples for specific developmental benchmarks. They are short but demonstrate specific goals that could be helpful.

Go to http://gelds.decal.ga.gov/Search.aspx then click on a domain, choose age group (or leave all checked), then drop down one of the standards. Each example with a video has a little video icon on it.

North Carolina's site also has accessible videos -SCRIPT- NC

    https://scriptnc.fpg.unc.edu/resources
If you put a list together, please share!

Katy and the many others who have offered suggestions, great idea to share my list.  It will take me some time as I need to fit the videos to my course with is play-based and also focuses upon using nature and wonder to support leaning.  When these are in place, it is amazing to see young children emerge as caring and empathic; qualities that do not and cannot truly to taught but must be felt internally.  Most of what I am finding is a lot of talk about safety regulations and very little focus upon what infants and toddlers might actually be experiencing as reflected in their relationships with others, things, and the world around them.  I see the learning of an inner self in relationship to all as one of the most important goal in early childhood education.  I am so appreciative to all of you who have stepped in to help me in this process of looking for videos so I might support my students in their continued search for such lenses.  I will not forget to share the outcome!

    Morning,

I am in a continual search for 10 to 15 min observational clips to practice coding with assessment tools. I am glad you put this question out there so people can begin to combine their resources during this time.

The Illinois Early Learning Moments have been developed to assist infant/toddler care providers in implementing the strategies for interaction outlined in the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines for Children Birth to Age Three (IELGs).

Each Early Learning Moment includes a video, information about the area being covered, suggestions for creating an environment to support children's development, and a series of questions to help you assess whether your everyday environment and interactions support the development of the children under your care.
