    Hi everyone,
I came across a peer-reviewed study today and it feels too important not to share! It is about the effect of sunlight on the coronavirus, which has direct implications to our work with young children. There are significant benefits to nature-based, outdoor learning -- well-researched long before COVID-19. But now more than ever, we should all consider how to take learning outside!

This amazing study that states,"Ninety percent of infectious virus was inactivated every 6.8 minutes..." It goes on to say, "The present study provides the first evidence that sunlight may rapidly inactivate SARS-CoV-2 on surfaces, suggesting that persistence, and subsequently exposure risk, may vary significantly between indoor and outdoor environments. Additionally, these data indicate that natural sunlight may be effective as a disinfectant for contaminated nonporous materials."

Have a read and see what you think! This feels like a great share for teachers and parents alike!
