  • 1.  2-Year Old Program "End of the year celebration"

Hello, this is our first year having a 2-year-old program, and I was looking for ideas on how to end the year with families celebrating all of the beautiful things that happened this year.  Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Perhaps an end-of-year potluck party?  You could have a slideshow of photos from the year projected during the party, favorite musical selections of the children playing, and free play for all!

If you go with something like a potluck you might want to share recipes and/or the histories of each.  Could be written or oral stories told of the foods -- and if really into it maybe put it into a book format with child illustrations to share with the families.

We have a 2.5 year old program and each year we have an "Oh, the Places You'll Go" event for famlies and students.  We begin with playtime on the playground, provide a pizza dinner, and end with a slideshow of photos from the year.  Each student leaves with the Dr. Seuss book so that families may get teachers to sign it each year.  Our event is 5-6:30 pm because all of our 2.5 year old families work.  Hope this helps!
