Hi Shellina,
Here's the link to a really great article that I have in used in the past to share out the benefits that water play has on the brain development. There's also a really informative and quick video on here that would be nice to share out with a parent or anyone, really.
http://ideastations.org/science-matters/ideas-parents/water-play-and-your-childs-growing-brainAlso, as it relates to the safety/ healthy aspect in water play, I'd say rely on articulating the ways that you are vigilant in ensuring a reduction in the spreading of germs (changing water daily or twice a daily, making sure children thoroughly wash their hands before and after water play, mopping the floor around the water table, as needed, daily sanitization of the materials in the water). When we take those measures consistently, a healthy water play environment takes place!
Hope this helps!!

Subject: Water Play
Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has any resources on the benefits of water play for toddlers. Also, and more importantly, any articles stating that children cannot get sick by playing with water. (of course as long as they don't drink it and wash hands after) I would be ever so appreciative.
